As long as the motherboard has two M.2 slots, you should be fine. But you can check in the manual to make sure the M.2 slots don’t share ports with the graphics slots. Also, if you are getting M.2 drives, only guy NVMe drives.

This motherboard has 3 x M.2 slots and all of them are using the CPU PCIe lanes. The manual states that the PCIe x16 slot for the GPU operates up to x8 when second or third M.2 slot is occupied. Ryzen CPUs don’t offer enough lanes to cover GPU and multiple NVMe drives so that how it has to be done.
Aside of M.2 slots the motherboard also has two extra x16 slots operating at x4 that come from the the chipset and not from the CPU. With PCIe adapters it should be possible to attach an NVMe drives there although chipset PCIe usage may incur some penalty in extreme cases.
When a second drive is connected GPU-Z states that the RTX 3070 is using PCIe 1.1 x8 with 4.0 listed only for a moment after the app is launched. This is very likely an error on the app side as the benchmarks showcased below do indicate that the GPU is using x8 4.0 or x16 3.0.

3DMark PCIe bandwidth test as well as Aida64 memory read benchmarks do indicate that the bandwidth got halved thus it can’t be PCIe 1.1 mode as that would be up to 2GB/s. In x8 mode the read was 12 412 MB/s versus 24 476 MB/s under x16. Similarly the bandwidth test gave 13,43 GB/s vs 26,23 GB/s.
PCIe 4.0 x8 is pretty much equal to x16 3.0 and as overall gaming GPUs can’t exceed that bandwidth in realistic scenarios all the gaming benchmarks show no difference when RTX 3070 uses half the available bandwidth.
So if you want more NVMe drives then for normal usage cases there is no problem with limiting GPU bandwidth (although I didn’t tested a PCIe 3.0 GPU behavior. Going to x8 3.0 may limit top-shelf cards a bit, although PCIe bifurcation could be quite smart in this case). This could start to differ a bit for some compute tasks, but also you could try using the chipset PCIe lanes for those additional drives or using SATA SSDs if you need just fast storage and not NVMe levels of fast.RkBlog

Ensan from Germany entered with a massive lead.
It took about 9 hours and 200 hands of poker before Ensan, who is originally from Iran, secured of the historic bracelet for the tournament, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
32-year-old Dario Sammartino of Italy came in 2nd and will take home $6 million. Alex Livingston earned $4 million for 3rd place.
UPDATE JULY 16: Henderson resident and recreational player Garry Gates has finished in 4th place in the Main Event of the World Series of Poker.
Gates was eliminated after going all in against Canada’s Alex Livingston. Regardless, Gates is now a millionaire as he takes home about $3 million for his efforts.
Hossein Ensan, who describes himself as a poker amateur, dominated the night once again. He is the runaway leader with more than 60 percent of the chips in play. The third player to survive the night was Italy’s Dario Sammartino.
The winner of the World Series of Poker will walk away with $10 million. Play will resume with the final 3 at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Rio hotel-casino. It will end when there is one man left.

37-year-old Garry Gates was clearly a crowd favorite on Friday night at the Rio hotel-casino and on social media. Gates has worked in the industry for years. Formerly with PokerNews, he has helped run PokerStars’ live events and provided VIP services for the past 10 years.
Gates, who calls himself ’GG The Rec,’ is a recreational player and plans to keep his day job, which sounds pretty cool, even if he does win the big prize, according to PokerStarsblog.com.

PREVIOUS STORY
Thirty-five players remain heading into Day 7 of the Main Event at the World Series of Poker and Day 7 will be the longest day yet.
Play is scheduled to begin at noon July 13 and will continue until there are only 9 players left for the Final Table.
Day 6 at the Rio hotel-casino saw the departure of high-stakes legend Sam Greenwood after he was bested by Timothy Su, a software developer and first-time WSOP player.
However, Stu was not the leader by the end of the night. Nicholas Marchington ended the play with 39,800,000 in chips and Hossein Ensan came in 2nd with 34,500,000.
According to World Series of Poker, 21-year-old Marchington is also a first-timer in the Main Event and an online cash player by trade. If he wins the Main Event, he will be the youngest Main Event winner in the history of WSOP.
Other players eliminated on Day 6 included Antonio Esfandiari, Jake Schindler
and Alex Foxen.
Recognizable players still in the game include Dario Sammartino, Preben Stokkan and Yuri Dzivielevski.
After the Final Table has been set on Saturday morning, the poker players will have a day off until the Final Table begins play on Sunday afternoon.

It is Day 6 of the Main Event of the 50th annual World Series of Poker at the Rio hotel-casino in Las Vegas and there are only 106 players left. A total of 248 players were eliminated on Day 5.
The WSOP Main Event is a $10,000 buy-in poker tournament, this year with 8,569 entries creating a $80,548,600 prize pool. The top 15 percent of the field divvy up the prize money with the winner’s share $10 million.
Play is expected to go until 2 a.m. today and the field is expected to end with the final three tables of players, each vying for the $10 million first place prize.
The player with the most chips going into Day 6 was Timothy Su with 19,235,000. The 2nd biggest stack in the room belonged to WSOP bracelet winner Sam Greenwood, who ended Day 5 with 11,950,000.
Other recognizable names still in the game include Warwick Mirzikinian (11,430,000), Romain Lewis (10,600,000), Chad Power (7,480,000), three-time bracelet winner and all-time WSOP earnings leader Antonio Esfandiari (6,630,000), and Chris Hunichen (6,280,000).

It took about 9 hours and 200 hands of poker before Ensan, who is originally from Iran, secured of the historic bracelet for the tournament, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
32-year-old Dario Sammartino of Italy came in 2nd and will take home $6 million. Alex Livingston earned $4 million for 3rd place.
UPDATE JULY 16: Henderson resident and recreational player Garry Gates has finished in 4th place in the Main Event of the World Series of Poker.
Gates was eliminated after going all in against Canada’s Alex Livingston. Regardless, Gates is now a millionaire as he takes home about $3 million for his efforts.
Hossein Ensan, who describes himself as a poker amateur, dominated the night once again. He is the runaway leader with more than 60 percent of the chips in play. The third player to survive the night was Italy’s Dario Sammartino.

Thirty-five players remain heading into Day 7 of the Main Event at the World Series of Poker and Day 7 will be the longest day yet.
Play is scheduled to begin at noon July 13 and will continue until there are only 9 players left for the Final Table.
Day 6 at the Rio hotel-casino saw the departure of high-stakes legend Sam Greenwood after he was bested by Timothy Su, a software developer and first-time WSOP player.
However, Stu was not the leader by the end of the night. Nicholas Marchington ended the play with 39,800,000 in chips and Hossein Ensan came in 2nd with 34,500,000.
According to World Series of Poker, 21-year-old Marchington is also a first-timer in the Main Event and an online cash player by trade. If he wins the Main Event, he will be the youngest Main Event winner in the history of WSOP.
Other players eliminated on Day 6 included Antonio Esfandiari, Jake Schindler
and Alex Foxen.
Recognizable players still in the game include Dario Sammartino, Preben Stokkan and Yuri Dzivielevski.

It is Day 6 of the Main Event of the 50th annual World Series of Poker at the Rio hotel-casino in Las Vegas and there are only 106 players left. A total of 248 players were eliminated on Day 5.
The WSOP Main Event is a $10,000 buy-in poker tournament, this year with 8,569 entries creating a $80,548,600 prize pool. The top 15 percent of the field divvy up the prize money with the winner’s share $10 million.
Play is expected to go until 2 a.m. today and the field is expected to end with the final three tables of players, each vying for the $10 million first place prize.
The player with the most chips going into Day 6 was Timothy Su with 19,235,000. The 2nd biggest stack in the room belonged to WSOP bracelet winner Sam Greenwood, who ended Day 5 with 11,950,000.
Other recognizable names still in the game include Warwick Mirzikinian (11,430,000), Romain Lewis (10,600,000), Chad Power (7,480,000), three-time bracelet winner and all-time WSOP earnings leader Antonio Esfandiari (6,630,000), and Chris Hunichen (6,280,000).

Now in its 25th year, Luxor is far down on the south side of Las Vegas Blvd. It sits right in between Mandalay Bay and Excalibur. You can walk to any of these three properties without going outside, but tram service is also available. Just like Excalibur and Mandalay Bay, Luxor is also owned by MGM Resorts International, and is one of their most economical properties in that you can gamble, eat, and sleep for less.
Its theme is of ancient Egypt, and in the evening, Luxor is arguably the most identifiable casino from afar. Its bright beam of light shoots high into the sky from the top of its pyramid. Despite the Egyptian theme which starts out strong with the large sphinx that sits outside the casino, there isn’t too much going on inside (in terms of capturing the Egypt theme). Limits started at just a penny, but also went up to $0.25, $1, and $2. Paybacks were as high as 99.17% for Bonus Poker, but as low as 98.45% for Jacks or Better. We were pleasantly surprised that the sportsbook was totally decent. There were plenty of large TVs and everything including the betting board was easy to see. Given that Luxor is smoky, it was nice that the sportsbook prohibits it. Its location is tucked away from the rest of the action, but its one drawback is its right by the daily slot tournament section which could get annoying.
There is ample seating with dozens of spacious leather chairs to go with some sofas. The racebook seating also accommodates many and they each have their own TV and desk space. Since Luxor mainly attracts tourists, it should never too crowded in here except for the busiest times of year.

All military members, active or retired also receive discounts as do their spouses.
Luxor also offers a variety of suites. They start at 590 square feet with Pyramid Corner Suite and go up to 3,600 if you take the Tower Two Bedroom Penthouse. Considering the Penthouse averages under $700 per night, that’s not a bad deal as suites like these are usually well upwards of $1,000 or more.

If you don’t want to party with mostly gay men in bathing suits, Luxor also brings a strong selection of five different bars although none of them feature live music. Flight only requires a casual dress code and offers modern cocktails and specialty beer. Aurora, known for its unique lighting effects based off the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights.
Playbar is open 24 hours and right by the sportsbook. High Bar is near the high limit section and is as much a lounge as a bar with its intimate seating availability. Now in its 25th year, Luxor is far down on the south side of Las Vegas Blvd. It sits right in between Mandalay Bay and Excalibur. You can walk to any of these three properties without going outside, but tram service is also available. Just like Excalibur and Mandalay Bay, Luxor is also owned by MGM Resorts International, and is one of their most economical properties in that you can gamble, eat, and sleep for less.
Its theme is of ancient Egypt, and in the evening, Luxor is arguably the most identifiable casino from afar. Its bright beam of light shoots high into the sky from the top of its pyramid. Despite the Egyptian theme which starts out strong with the large sphinx that sits outside the casino, there isn’t too much going on inside (in terms of capturing the Egypt theme). We’ve never been to Egypt, but we’re confident it doesn’t look exactly like America.
If you are driving, Luxor’s valet and parking can also be accessed using Frank Sinatra Drive. Both used to be free, but like most other casinos on the strip, this is not the case anymore. Parking rates are determined by how long you’re staying and your current tier status within their player rewards program. Status can be accumulated numerous ways. They prefer you do it by gambling, but you may also apply for the M Life credit card and if approved, your status is upgraded to free self-parking only.Casino at Luxor
If you want to park at Paris, you have a choice between valet or self-parking. UPDATE: November 1, 2020 - Paid parking is making a return to the Las Vegas Strip. Caesars Entertainment has begun charging for parking again at the majority of their properties unless you are a registered guest or a local with a valid Nevada drivers license. Self-parking or valet parking can cost up to $25 per day at casinos on the Vegas Strip. If you’re visiting for a week that can surely add up. If you’re looking to avoid paying a daily parking fee on the Vegas Strip you might want to stay at one of the following hotel-casinos. With a stay at Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas (The Strip), you’ll be close to T-Mobile Arena and University of Nevada-Las Vegas. This casino resort is within close proximity of Crystals at City Center and Bali Hai Golf Club. Rooms Make yourself at home in one of the 4400 air-conditioned rooms featuring flat-screen televisions. All the hotels on the strip have free self parking. It is usually easier to valet park. Luxor Hotel & Casino.
The casino at Luxor Las Vegas has a 120,000-square-foot (11,000 m 2) gaming space with more than 2,000 slot, video poker, and multi-game machines. From reel slots to the newest video slot releases the game floor is always up to date.

Within the casino’s sizable 120,000 square foot gaming space are 87 table games, spread out in numerous parts of the floor. Its game variety was nothing special, but for what we were expecting we were satisfied. Luxor has dim lighting and is rather smoky, but the energy is good. We were surprised to see $10 was the minimum bet for each game. Not to put down the Luxor, but $5 is usually the going rate for the middle of the pack casinos.Baccarat
During our last visit, there was not much to choose from in terms of baccarat games. There was one only table of mini-baccarat for $10 a hand, and no tables were around in the high limit section.Blackjack
Blackjack is the mainstay of any casino floor, and there were plenty of tables here. The dealer must hit on soft 17, and to receive 3-2 odds for being dealt blackjack you must play the $25 tables. The minimums go down to $10, but anything less than the $25 table only pays 6-5. It doesn’t always say that on the table even though it’s supposed to, so check with the dealer before you’re dealt in.
In the last number of years, other variations of blackjack with different sets of rules have been crafted. Of these new variations, Luxor only offers Free Bet Blackjack. Also, out by the slot machines is a virtual blackjack game with a live dealer and a $5 minimum.Craps
Craps games started at $10 with standard rules. The odds weren’t posted, but 3-4-5 is the way it goes on the strip. Virtual crap games are also offered in the slots area with a $2 minimum.Roulette
All standard roulette games with two zeros had a $10 minimum. Two other virtual roulette options are in the slots area. One is for $3, and the other is $5 because it has a live wheel.Other Luxor Table Games

Between these and the other main games, nine options isn’t bad. Given how many total tables there are, you’ll never have a problem getting a seat.
The most notable section in Luxor’s casino was not a table game, but its eSports Arena. If you are unfamiliar with eSports, they equate to betting on the outcome of professional video game tournaments. This may sound a bit silly, but there is plenty of demand for it. It is located in one of the casino’s corners, and you check in with the clerk at its front desk for details.

The high limit section for table games is combined with the slots and didn’t have much going for it. It has its own entrance, so it provides some seclusion, but otherwise it was a whole lot of nothing. We don’t gather that many people come in here. There were just two tables of blackjack with $100 minimums that had the same rules on the main floor.Slots at Luxor
There are more than 1,100 slots are spread around the whole casino. There are still some old school machines around, but most of them were new. There’s a daily slot tournament section right by the sportsbook, and some of its notable games are Willy Wonka, Wheel of Fortune, Ski Pinball, The Flintstones, Anchorman, and several varieties of Buffalo. Wager amounts are pretty standard here, starting at a penny and increasing in increments of $0.05, $0.10, $0.25, $0.50, and $1.High Limit Slots at Luxor
Combined with the table games, the high limit slots section and its lifeless vibe didn’t have much video poker to go with it. Nevertheless, the wagers available were for $1, $2, $5, $10, $25, and $50. Cleopatra was the most notable video poker game with limits of $0.25, $1, $2, and $5.

Apart from high limit, the video poker game selection was also nothing to write home about. Machines were few and far between with only four different types of games. Limits started at just a penny, but also went up to $0.25, $1, and $2. Paybacks were as high as 99.17% for Bonus Poker, but as low as 98.45% for Jacks or Better. You’ll also consistently find video poker at the bars spread all throughout the casino. The screens are tabletops at each seat, and you can play them for comped drinks.Sportsbook at Luxor
We were pleasantly surprised that the sportsbook was totally decent. There were plenty of large TVs and everything including the betting board was easy to see. Given that Luxor is smoky, it was nice that the sportsbook prohibits it. Its location is tucked away from the rest of the action, but its one drawback is its right by the daily slot tournament section which could get annoying.
There is ample seating with dozens of spacious leather chairs to go with some sofas. The racebook seating also accommodates many and they each have their own TV and desk space. Since Luxor mainly attracts tourists, it should never too crowded in here except for the busiest times of year.
You can also download the PlayMGM sports betting app, which allows you access to all the same lines as well as live betting for every game. Live betting is betting on games that have already started. It’s a recently new popular choice and is expected to be offered in sportsbooks in the near future.
Unfortunately, drinking in the sportsbook at any Las Vegas property is not easy anymore. Drink tickets are given out per bet. For sports the bet requirement is $100, and $10 for the horses. They both sound high and they are but believe it or not this is relatively inexpensive. Cheap drink tickets are only offered at off strip local casinos.Hotel at Luxor
The Luxor hotel has over 4,400 rooms. The average nightly rate for its standard rooms is under $100, but there are occasional promotions for rates starting at $45. The normal room sizes begin at a modest 420 square feet, but the remodeled tower rooms are 449 square feet. If you are an AAA member, you qualify for a 10% discount and two free buffets per day. All military members, active or retired also receive discounts as do their spouses.
Luxor also offers a variety of suites. They start at 590 square feet with Pyramid Corner Suite and go up to 3,600 if you take the Tower Two Bedroom Penthouse. Considering the Penthouse averages under $700 per night, that’s not a bad deal as suites like these are usually well upwards of $1,000 or more.
In between the Pyramid Corner and Penthouse are:
– Tower One Bedroom Suite (780 square feet)
– Tower Premier Suite (1,050 square feet)
– Tower Premier Deluxe Suite (1,200 square feet)
– Tower Premier 2 Bedroom Suite (1,650 square feet)
Considering the luxury and the fact you are on the Las Vegas strip, the average nightly rates staying between less than $100 and $250 seems like a bargain. However, one thing that isn’t a bargain is the irritating $39.68 mandatory nightly resort fee. That includes the tax, and for it you only get Internet, pool, and fitness center access, along with a few other mild conveniences that we figure either nobody cares about or uses.Spa and Fitness Center
Entrance to the Nurture Spa for hotel guests is $25 and $40 for non. It is open from 6 AM – 7 PM but treatments don’t start until 8 AM. The Nurture Salon is open 10 AM – 6 PM.
The spa offers an expansive variety of massages, body treatments, and facials, and there are various types of packages you can purchase as well. The salon also does massages and face treatment to go with hair services, nail services, and waxing.
The fitness center is also open 6 AM – 7 PM, and it is worth noting Luxor’s pool section covers 19,000 square feet featuring four sections of pools.Restaurants at Luxor
Not including the food court, there are over a dozen restaurants, some of which are in the Shoppes at Mandalay Place which is connected nearby. Starbucks and Backstage Deli are open 24 hours, and Some of its other noteworthy options are T & T (Tacos and Tequila), Rice and Company (Asian), and the Public House sports bar. With one exception, all these eateries are modestly priced.Fine Dining
The one place for fine dining is Tender Steak & Seafood. They’ve got a wide selection of seafood, sides, and wet and dry-aged steaks, none of which are aged for less than 21 days.Bars at Luxor
Luxor no longer has a nightclub, but it has not given up on partying. Luxor has gone a unique route and rather successfully as Temptation Sundays is the longest running gay pool party in Las Vegas. Entrance is $10 for hotel guests and $20 for everyone else.
If you don’t want to party with mostly gay men in bathing suits, Luxor also brings a strong selection of five different bars although none of them feature live music. Flight only requires a casual dress code and offers modern cocktails and specialty beer. Aurora, known for its unique lighting effects based off the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights.
Playbar is open 24 hours and right by the sportsbook. High Bar is near the high limit section and is as much a lounge as a bar with its intimate seating availability. And lastly is Centra, also open 24 hours. Epiphone Casino 61 Reissue Review

My 61 Reissue Casino was perfect and i sure wouldn’t classify it as lousy.lol.i have seen some of the recent stuff from Gibson that i would use that word for.and they sure aren’t cheap and the quality control there sucks.The Chinese are very capable of building good guitars,just look at Eastman. The 61 Anniversary is one of the nicest hollowbody electrics i have played. I played the MIC Casinos, and the Elitist and found them fairly similar (i also owned and loved a MIK Casino in 1997). Craps in alberta golf. I hadn’t played the 61 first since they aren’t really in stores but I think the 61 is a far better deal. Evaux les bains casino. It sounds and plays wonderfully.

Don’t agree, I have a both a ’61 Reissue and an original ’68 ES330, and whilst I agree that upper (lower??) fret access is awful, that’s true for any pre-’67/68 Casino or ES330. I think the quality of workmanship on the Reissue is pretty danmed good considering the price. Go for it if that’s your thang.. but try and play it first, it may not be for you. For what it’s worth, here’s my beauts:

Lovely pair and you’re right I meant upper fret access. It’s not the same on all casinos though as you’ve pointed out.
I ‘really’ wanted to like mine - it was royal tan. There’s a possibility that I didn’t give it long enough but from memory I just didn’t gel with it.
I don’t recall the fretwork being remarkable either and I think mine would have benefitted from a proper setup, although it was supposed to have had one from the shop.

*edited August 2019How much should someone pay for one nowadays? For a reissue, probably £500+ depending upon condition, case, certificate etc. The one on eBay looks pretty nice actually, maybe offer him £600 and then go and try it before handing over the cash! An original ’60’s Gibson ES330 can go for anything above £3000 depending on age, colour, rarity, originality, condition, whether it’s a long or shot neck, original case, case condition.. blah, blah, blah.. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. All I know is, I didn’t want to gig my ’68 ES330 so I found the reissue and it plays beautifully.
In fact, my mate in our band sold his sunburst ’89 Gibson ES335 and bought a standard Epi Casino instead, after playing my reissue. They are immense value when compared to the cost of the originals, but I still say.. try it first! It may not be for you.
But hey, if they’re good enough for Gary Clark Jnr...

I don’t recall the fretwork being remarkable either and I think mine would have benefitted from a proper setup, although it was supposed to have had one from the shop.

For a reissue, probably £500+ depending upon condition, case, certificate etc. The one on eBay looks pretty nice actually, maybe offer him £600 and then go and try it before handing over the cash! An original ’60’s Gibson ES330 can go for anything above £3000 depending on age, colour, rarity, originality, condition, whether it’s a long or shot neck, original case, case condition.. blah, blah, blah.. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. All I know is, I didn’t want to gig my ’68 ES330 so I found the reissue and it plays beautifully.
In fact, my mate in our band sold his sunburst ’89 Gibson ES335 and bought a standard Epi Casino instead, after playing my reissue. They are immense value when compared to the cost of the originals, but I still say.. try it first! It may not be for you.
But hey, if they’re good enough for Gary Clark Jnr...

Back on May 28, 1989, Fujitake and his wife Satsuko took advantage of a Hawaii-focused travel promotion offered by the California Hotel & Casino to make one of their regular visits to Las Vegas.
An avid craps enthusiast herself, Satsuko Fujitake taught her husband the game during their courtship. As she told Hawaii News Now in 2009, shortly after Fujitake’s record finally fell (more on this to come), Satsuko soon suspected her husband had been bitten hard by the craps bug:
“Mom, where is Dad going out all the time? I said, ‘Well, he must have trouble with his stomach, he’s going to the bathroom.’
I didn’t believe that, I knew what he was doing – he was on the table every time he went out.”
So it was that Satsuko woke up one morning to find her husband’s side of the bed hadn’t even been slept in. That’s because Fujitake has spent the night putting on one of the greatest gambling shows Las Vegas has ever witnessed.
The action started around midnight when Fujitake – a mild-mannered man of diminutive stature who looked every part the average Las Vegas tourist – placed a simple $5 bet on the Pass Line.
Over the next 3+ hours, Fujitake could do no wrong with the dice, rolling over and over again without sevening out. As the epic rolling session progressed, onlookers crowded the table and wagered everything they had to get in on Fujitake’s good fortune.
Guido Metzger – who worked as a dealer at the California back then before rising to become director of casino operations for parent company Boyd Gaming – recalled the frantic crush of bettors surrounding Fujitake in an interview with Boyd’s Buzz:
“They had trouble keeping up with the chip payouts that night.
My table was empty. But there were at least 30 to 40 people trying to place bets at his table.
They couldn’t get fills to the table fast enough and had to start issuing scrip [casino credit] because not enough people were going to the cage and cashing in their chips.”
With winners coming on every roll, the California’s coffers were soon being drained for six-figure sums. The outlays became so onerous that John Repetti, casino manager for the California at the time, was called in from home to supervise the situation.
As he told the Los Angeles Times in a 2017 retrospective on Fujitake’s record-setting roll. Repetti was literally roused from his slumber in order to personally monitor the increasingly expensive craps game:
“The first call came and he’d been shooting for an hour, and we were losing a couple hundred thousand dollars at the time. I said if he continued, to call me at every $100,000 loss interval.
Well, the calls kept coming every 15 minutes. Another $100,000. And another $100,000.
After the fourth call and fifth call, I decided I’d better get some clothes on and get downtown.”
A seasoned veteran of the casino gambling industry, Repetti knew instantly that he was witnessing a historic run of good luck, as he told News at the Cal a few months afterward:
“Half an hour is average, over an hour is amazing, but more than three hours is totally astounding.”
In the end, Fujitake held the dice for 118 consecutive rolls without sevening out, a feat which earned him $30,000 in winnings.
But according to David Strow, who serves as vice president of corporate communications for Boyd Gaming, Fujitake was hardly the biggest winner to benefit from the legendary roll. As Strow remembered it in a 2017 interview with PokerNews, Fujitake’s fellow players placed larger bets along the way and wound up winning upwards of $1 million:
“That was one of the ironic things about his roll – the other players at the table ended up winning a lot more money than Stanley did!”Wife Remembers the Late Legend and Love of Her Life
Stanley Fujitake passed away in 2000 at the age of 77, but he was survived by his wife Satsuko and their sons Dennis, Lester, and Kevin.
And while the children may have wondered where Dad was during those late nights at the California’s craps tables, Satsusko told Hawaii News Now that she is glad Stanley was able to enjoy the game he loved so dearly:
“It was a miracle, because it’s impossible to hold the dice.
It doesn’t happen all the time, maybe it’s only once in a lifetime deal.”
Satsuko was there that night, but after wandering the casino floor for a while, she couldn’t find the small of stature Stanley amidst the crowd. Later on, as she played video poker in another area of the casino, Satsuko found herself surrounded by well-wishers celebrating her husband’s new crown as the King of Craps:
“People came up to congratulate me and I thought, geez, I didn’t do anything, I didn’t even hit a royal, why are they congratulating me?
Then I realized, he was the one with the dice.”Fujitake’s Record Gets Smashed in the Garden State
For 20 years following his world record roll, nobody could top Fujitake’s mark of three hours and six minutes without turning over the dice.
The record stood until 2009, when a craps rookie named Patricia Demauro visited the Borgata casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey on a whim. Bored with the penny slots, her pal invited her to take a crack at craps, leading to one of the more improbable feats in gambling history.
DeMauro rolled 154 times consecutively without sevening out, a session which lasted four hours and 18 minutes altogether – or a full hour longer than Fujitake’s previous record.
When asked about her late husband’s historic feat falling into second place, Satsuko Fujitake told Hawaii News Now that Stanley’s record run will always be number one in her heart:

“Mom, where is Dad going out all the time? I said, ‘Well, he must have trouble with his stomach, he’s going to the bathroom.’
I didn’t believe that, I knew what he was doing – he was on the table every time he went out.”
So it was that Satsuko woke up one morning to find her husband’s side of the bed hadn’t even been slept in. That’s because Fujitake has spent the night putting on one of the greatest gambling shows Las Vegas has ever witnessed.
The action started around midnight when Fujitake – a mild-mannered man of diminutive stature who looked every part the average Las Vegas tourist – placed a simple $5 bet on the Pass Line.
Over the next 3+ hours, Fujitake could do no wrong with the dice, rolling over and over again without sevening out. As the epic rolling session progressed, onlookers crowded the table and wagered everything they had to get in on Fujitake’s good fortune.
Guido Metzger – who worked as a dealer at the California back then before rising to become director of casino operations for parent company Boyd Gaming – recalled the frantic crush of bettors surrounding Fujitake in an interview with Boyd’s Buzz:
“They had trouble keeping up with the chip payouts that night.
My table was empty. But there were at least 30 to 40 people trying to place bets at his table.
They couldn’t get fills to the table fast enough and had to start issuing scrip [casino credit] because not enough people were going to the cage and cashing in their chips.”
With winners coming on every roll, the California’s coffers were soon being drained for six-figure sums. The outlays became so onerous that John Repetti, casino manager for the California at the time, was called in from home to supervise the situation.

Brintons created bespoke carpets for the entertainment and gaming complex Holland Casino Rotterdam, combining the practical benefits of the tile format with the aesthetic demands of a high-end venue in one solution.
The unique carpet design employs a dynamic, abstract motif in a predominantly red and gold palette with turquoise accents, a selection of colours typically used in casinos. Part of the design brief was to create a space that more accurately reflected the casino environment that had not been achieved previously. For this reason, Brintons selected these classic shades for the pattern. Brintons adapted the pattern from an initial design provided by architecture firm Steelman Partners, and developed it into a tile format which resolves critical matching issues.
Brintons always produces carpets for our casinos. They always deliver on time, within the project schedule and to our satisfaction. It’s a challenge to translate the designs of the architect to a carpet tile and that always works out really well with Brintons.

As the Holland Casino features a recessed floor that needs to be easily accessible, Brintons used its woven axminster carpet tile product for the project. Thanks to the expertise that has gone into the development of Brintons’ carpet tile technology, it achieved a seamless finish at the Holland Casino Rotterdam that has guaranteed the definition and impact of Axminster design, within a tile installation. The carpet was produced in four-tile and sixteen-tile repeat formats, designed for application to a range of interior spaces of varying scales across two floors of the space.
The bespoke carpeting solution brings Brintons’ global reputation for high-quality axminster woven products to a modular format, effectively balancing functional and operational demands with a luxurious aesthetic. Brintons’ signature blend of 80% wool and 20% nylon makes the carpet tiles suitable for heavy-use areas, particularly in venues that might require areas of flooring to be switched. The tile format offers many practical benefits, including quick and easy installation and de-installation, as well as bringing acoustic and thermal properties to the interiors while offering long-term practical, economic and environmental benefits.

Whether you play the stock market, like to scratch off lottery tickets, play slots or bet on sports, chances are you gamble a little. The problem however is when you start gambling a lot. So much that you can’t actually stop gambling.
Gambling addiction, also known as compulsive gambling, is a type of impulse-control disorder. When someone has this disorder, they honestly can’t control their impulse to gamble. Even if they know that gambling is causing them financial strain or causing problems with their mental focus or relationships, they simply can’t stop. In addition, compulsive gamblers can’t control the impulse to gamble. Gambling is all they think about and the only thing they want to focus on. In fact, if they try to stop, many of them have a difficult time stopping. It’s just that they are so addicted that they can’t “stay off the bet”. This illness often leads to strained relationships, feelings of depression, lower self-worth, suicidal thoughts and various other problems.

*Call if you have a very difficult time controlling your gambling impulse. Once you start gambling, you can’t stop. Its like your feet become glued to the spot and you couldn’t walk away. Another telltale sign is that you are so compelled to gamble that you will gamble away all your rent money, your spending money and even your grocery money too. You won’t stop until you have no money in the bank and an overdrawn account.
*Call if you gamble even when you’re dead broke. Another clue is when you get more and more determined to recoup your losses. You may gamble until you’ve spent your very last buck and then move on to your relative’s money and spend that too. You may even spend your kids’ money or money allocated for bills. Nothing is off limits – including your children’s money. In your heart, you may feel as if the only way to get the money is to win it- not earn it working so you keep on going, regardless of the pain it causes you or your loved ones.
*Call if your family and friends are very concerned about you. If your loved ones are concerned, you should be concerned. Don’t ignore their concerns. Instead, head their warnings and hear them out.
